For all cases filed on or after June 1, 2026, the Clerk of Court will set the initial confirmation hearing in the “Notice of Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Case,” which also provides the date for the meeting of creditors under 11 U.S.C. § 341.
If the Plan is timely filed (See FRBP 3015) and all objections have been resolved by the date of the initial confirmation hearing, the Court will consider confirmation at that hearing. If objections remain pending, the Court will treat the initial confirmation hearing as a status conference and will determine appropriate procedures and scheduling for any continued confirmation hearing.
In connection with the Local Rule amendments, the Court has created two new docket-text-only events for use by Chapter 13 Trustees and Debtors:
- Waiver of Dismissal Hearing and No Objection to Dismissal of Chapter 13 Case This event is located under the Plan category.
- Chapter 13 Trustee Notice to Court that the Motion to Dismiss has been Resolved This event includes a drop‑down selection of:
- Request to Vacate Pending Hearing, or
- No Hearing Scheduled
A free‑form text field is provided for entry of the hearing date.
For single‑case docketing, this event is available under the Trustee/US Trustee category. For multi‑case docketing, it is also available under Batch Events.
