IE Setting Changes to Help Speed Up ECF Access
Suggestions:
Upgrade Internet Explorer to version 7
Increase the amount of space allocated for temporary internet files. Set the disk space to a minimum value of 50. This is set from Internet Explorer by selecting:
Tools - Internet Options - General tab - Browsing History - Settings
(see the figure below)
Also change the selection for "Check for newer versions of stored pages" to either
Every time I start Internet Explorer
or
Automatically
.
Clean up WinXP temp files. Tools -
Internet Options - General tab - Delete
(in the Browsing History section)
Automatically delete internet temp files when IEv7 closes:
Tools - Internet Options - Advanced
tab. Scroll down the list until you reach the Security section. Place a checkmark next to "Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is closed".
